The Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority (OBPA) is a New York State public benefit corporation with a seven-member Board of Directors appointed by the Governor of New York State. The Authority manages transportation assets in the North Country for the betterment of the residents of northern New York. The transportation facilities include: the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge; the Port of Ogdensburg; the Ogdensburg International Airport; and the New York & Ogdensburg Railway.
In addition, the Authority operates two industrial parks in the North Country that have attracted a variety of U.S. and Canadian businesses to northern New York, helping to encourage investment and job creation in the region. The light-industrial Commerce Park is home to numerous Canadian firms that have found Ogdensburg to be the ideal location for a U.S. facility given its close proximity to head offices in Ontario and Quebec. The heavy-industrial park offers over 200 acres of fully-serviced, parcels ready for new construction projects.
The Authority strives to market its assets and resources to encourage investment and job creation in northern New York State. We have assisted numerous Canadian and American firms with locating or expanding in the North Country. Please contact us today if we can assist you with your expansion project.
